Presentation copy inscribed to Welty's lifelong friends, Nash and Marjorie Burger: "For Nash and Marjorie / old and good friends, / in old affection, / Eudora." Nash Burger and Welty were childhood friends that remained close throughout their entire lives. Their long friendship is well documented. Some foxing to endpapers and fore-edge, else about fine in price-clipped dust jacket with some fading to the orange spine lettering.
