Oblong 8vo. Softbound. First edition. Catalog for a 1968 traveling exhibition of works by Billy Al Bengston. Catalog designed by Ed Ruscha featuring sandpaper covers bound with screws and bolts, with pink ribbon marker. Profusely illustrated (many in color), featuring every work in the exhibition. The laid-in tissue sheet, usually lacking, that prints "67X The Authorized Version / Bengston Bio" by Alan D. Shean is present in this copy. A few minute specks of wear to edges of covers, touch of rubbing to a couple of letters of the flocking on the cover, very near fine. A bright, fresh copy.
