Folding announcement for a showing of the exploitation film "The Beatniks".
No place: Privately published, 1960.
Item #SKB-17046
A single octavo sheet folded to make four pages. Advertises a screening of the 1960 film "The Beatniks" at the Echo Drive-In in New Iberia, Louisiana, a noted hotbed of beatnik activity. A terrific item---the front cover features a dynamic illustration of a shade-wearing, bearded beatnik leaning against a block of ice "Cool it Pops, We've Made the Scene!" Inside there's a "Beatnik Glossary" opposite a reproduction of the sensational poster for the film. A trifecta item featuring great beatnik imagery, advertising a beatnik film (about murderous beatniks no less), and with a beatnik glossary. Near fine.
