Issued as a promotional item for the 1959 Beat exploitation film, "The Beat Generation" starring Steve Cochran and Mamie Van Doren. Cover photo of a scantily-clad Mamie Van Doren next to a beret-wearing, bearded beatnik face. Prints a "glossary of the words and expressions that characterize today's controversial 'beatniks'" along with photos from the film and a text by Albert Zugsmith titled: "Who Are the 'Beatniiks'???" "Irresponsible rebels? Pseudo intellectuals? Phoney eccentrics? Lawless defiants menacing society? Or dedicated young artisits who want only to be left alone to lead their own lives, in their own strange ways?" Uniform overall toning, short tear at one fold, solid very good (14" x 11" unfolded). Among the earliest beat dictionaries.
