NY: Gaslight Cafe, ca. 1960.
A single quarto sheet of thick pink stock folded twice. The cover features a place to put a stamp and mailing address so the cafe could mail this to potential customers or tourists could mail this to friends at home. The Gaslight Cafe was one of the premier venues for folk music, poetry, and comedy in Greenwich Village during the '50s and '60s. Along with Kerouac and Ginsberg---Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk, Hugh Romney, Diane di Prima, and countless others performed there and many notable albums were recorded at the Gaslight. Folded as issued, a bit rumpled in the past, but it has flattened over the years and is thoroughly presentable.
