Item #SKB-16973

4to. Four sheets printed on one side, mimeographed from typescript, and fastened at the corner with a small silver clasp. At the top: "Yves Klein / Dit le Monochrome." Then Klein gives his birthplace and date, occupation ("peintre"), home address, and states that he is "Fondateur des Mouvements" (founder of the movements) 'Monochrome', de 'l'Immateriel' et du 'Vide' dans l'art actuel." Listed underneath are various sections devoted to solo exhibtions, group exhibitions, publications, decorations and architectural integrations, collaborations, conferences, museums, radio, and news. An ephemeral document from Klein encapsulating the earliest stage of his career. It's hard to imagine that many copies survived the passage of 60 years. Paper very slight toned (off-white to begin with), near fine (French text).
