Middletown, CA: Harbinger, 1968.
After the demise of the San Francisco Oracle, several of the original Oracle staff moved to rural California, started a commune, and published this one issue of Harbinger. Produced in the multicolored, psychedelic style of the original San Francisco Oracle, it's filled with psychedelic art, and features articles by Timothy Leary, Michael Hollingshead, Alan Watts, and others. P.O. Frisco is considered the precursor to the San Francisco Oracle---and Harbinger is its last gasp, but they went out in style with a terrific and opulent publication. Like P. O. Frisco it's also a stopper for Oracle collectors due to the small print run and limited distribution from this short-lived communal group. Fine (flattened horizontal center crease). Rare.
