NY: Pop Shop, 1985.
A yellow paper bag from the Pop Shop featuring Haring's illustration of a radiating man with the words "Pop Shop" where his head should be. Along the left edge Haring has inscribed the bag in black marker: "For Jan Erik Love K. Haring 1987." Lowenadler was a renowned Swedish art dealer and collector who was one of the first to specialize in works of '80s artists such as Haring and Basquiat. Horizontal crease across the top portion, a bit rumpled with a couple of small spots, very good (11.5" x 8.5"). Provenance: Lowenadler's estate. Items inscribed by Haring with a meaningful association are scarce.
