Laid in is a TLS from John Martin presenting this book to a friend remarking that: "I'm sending you the enclosed Bukowski items unasked, as you'll not get a chance to buy them otherwise. Bukowski was behind the edition of Red..." TOGETHER WITH Red's informal, self-published edition of this poem that consists of two stapled photocopied sheets that reproduce Bukowski's original typescript of the poem that he inscribed to Red.
