4to. "This weekend The Fugs! zany, satirical, beatnik, loud, rock 'n' roll group! on the West Coast only a month---see them now!" This was The Fugs first West Coast visit, the last stop on their "Fugs' Cross Country Vietnam Protest Caravan." In the Bay Area they particpated in a benefit for the Vietnam Day Committee and another for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, while still trying to raise money from gigs like this one that asked for a .50 cent donation. Sanders recalls that "the influx of moola was scant." This handbill is pictured on p.169 of Sander's memoir "Fug You." Old horizontal crease, else very near fine (8.5" x 11"). One of The Fugs' scarcer handbills.
