LA: Hollywood Star Press, 1979.
Edited by Bill Dakota (pseud. of William Kern). This publication started in newspaper format but this is the premier (and we believe only) issue in magazine format. Cover photo of Elvis with sensational blurb "Exclusive! Elvis was Bi-Sexual Nick Adams was his Lover!" Also features: "MANSON Talks About Celebs in Sex Cults" with 14 pages of Manson material including an interview and excerpts from letters wherein he alleges tales of orgies and names celebrity friends involved, autopsy reports on Sal Mineo and Freddie Prinze, "never-before-published" photographs of James Dean, a gossipy interview with Steve Allen talking about Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, and James Dean, transcription of a phone threat from Frank Sinatra relating to the Manson material, and much more. Great zeitgeist item and wacky, gossip-filled look at showbiz in 1979. Cover pulled loose from top staple but still firmly attached at bottom, thin dampstain to top edge of front cover, else very good plus.
