The three subjects are standing together at a party, Warhol has his arms folded with a wine glass in his hand, all three are smiling looking directly into the camera. Annotated on the verso in an unknown hand: "Dotson Rader, Ruth Ford, Andy Warhol taken by Henry J. Heinz at a party at Drue & Jacks for Lady Hartwell Nov. 6, 1972 at 450 E. 52." A nice photo evoking the celebrity party culture that Warhol found so fascinating. Dotson Rader was a successful author, and Ruth Ford a famous Hollywood and stage actress who was a friend and supporter of Warhol from the early sixties. She had a salon at her apartment at the Dakota and it was there that Warhol made many important connections including befriending Ruth's brother Charles Henri Ford. This photo came from her archive. Fine (6" x 4.25").
