Features the word "Tarantula!" on a glossy, over-size pin-back button featuring the same close-up photo of Dylan that was eventually used on the cover of the published book. However, this button was issued by Macmillan in 1966 when they first intended to release the book, not in 1971 when they actually published it. Macmillan wanted to capitalize on the anticipation surrounding this title so they printed promotional shopping bags, buttons, and issued a few copies of the galleys, before Dylan delayed publication for 6 years. Fine (the button measures 2.5"). (Inexplicably the scan shows a touch of red at the top of the button that isn't really there.).
