Envelope printed on both sides with one side featuring a color illustration of a woman and a coca plant, and the other side printing: "Metcalf's Coca Wine A Wonderful Restorative of Vocal Mental and Natural Powers. Assuages thirst and hunger and promotes digestion. For loss of Sleep and Nervousness. It is superior to opiates and chloral as there is positively no reaction. For Fatigue of Mind & Body." Inside the envelope is a packet of Metcalf's sachet powder that still retains some powder. Along with Mariani, Metcalf was one of the leading purveyors of cocaine-based medicines.
