n.p.: Privately published, 1965.
In 1965 folk singer and artist Eric von Schmidt was commissioned to do a painting of Dylan and Baez for a tour poster, and the image was reproduced in both a poster and handbill format. However, Dylan was not happy with his appearance and through his manager he ordered that the distributed copies be retrieved and pulped thus creating a rarity that seldom appears on the market. The image has come to be regarded as one of the most iconic from the early part of Dylan's career. It was used to illustrate the dust jacket of Positively 4th Street by David Hajdu and has been reproduced innumerable times in various books about the sixties folk music scene. A fine, fresh copy (pin-head-size nick to one corner).
